Create.

Scripture Text:
13For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17How precious to me are your thoughts, a God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you
Devotional:
Something I’ve noticed about myself is that I tend to write devotions inspired by nature and the creations God has designed on earth. Something about God's creativity has always drawn me closer to him. I believe this is partially because God has designed me with a passion for art. I went to college for art and now work as a graphic designer so I find anything creative or art related fascinating. I tend to resonate more with creative metaphors throughout the Bible. I try to learn more about God's creation in nature to connect with lessons from the Bible. Finding these connections really help me learn more about His character and understand these lessons on a deeper level.
What are some gifts and strengths God designed you with? How do you see God in your interests or your career? You can see God in any hobby you like from knitting to scuba diving. You can find him in any strength you have from math to writing. The amazing thing about God is that he is in everything we see and everything we do. Take time to find him in your own way.
We are all fearfully and wonderfully made. We are all made to worship and seek him, but all in different ways. How amazing is that?
Response/Prayer:
Lord thank you for creating my personality, my strengths, and my interests. Thank you for a world filled with endless discoveries. Help me see you in everything I do and get to know you more and more each day. Amen.
