“Over forty years ago the Holy Spirit gave a burden and vision to our founding pastor, Paul Wagner, to establish a thriving local church that would reach our community with the transforming love of Jesus Christ. In this strategic season, that very same vision has been entrusted to my care and I have the privilege of leading us towards that same vision.

The Lord spoke very clearly to my heart when I agreed to serve as Lead Pastor that He would not only give me the wisdom to continue this vision but also to pioneer new territory in it. We not only have a rich history to protect; together, we have a radical destiny to pursue.

Thank you so much for the value you already add to these communities. I believe that it is our honor and privilege to serve alongside you in this great adventure God has given us.”

Questions

  • The Legacy Campaign is a strategic initiative and spiritual journey for Believers Chapel beginning in the Spring of 2024. We will prayerfully seek God’s guidance and blessing as we enter into an opportunity to cast vision for what the next decade of ministry and beyond looks like at Believers Chapel. How do we meet urgent needs for families in our community? How do we address the mental health crisis that is growing everyday? How do we continue to introduce the next generation to Jesus? How do we continue to connect people with the hope found in Jesus? How do we fund needed ministries and updates to our current campus? The Legacy Campaign is a strategic initiative launching Sunday, April 7th, that will answer these questions and so many more.

  • There is undoubtedly a mental health crisis in our country and in our community. As suicide numbers have continued to climb over the last decade the rates have been particularly staggering among teens. The Church was designed to be the light of the world to introduce true hope. We have a hurting world. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible before they reach that point of despair and to strengthen individuals, families, marriages and parenting in the process.

  • We have been blessed with a tremendous campus and physical plant. Our team has worked diligently to address facility needs through the years and we are now at a point to seriously consider long-term solutions to much needed upgrades. We are working with professionals from across the country to create a multi-use community center equipped with state of the art indoor playground equipment, a kid’s worship center, game rooms and a gymnasium. Our Worship Center is also in need of a refurbishment. For decades, Believers Chapel has been known for its high level worship, preaching and facilities. We want to bring that back when people step on our campus. We want our programming and facilities to match the same level of excellence for decades to come.

  • Yes we do! We are very proud of the fact that we are one of the few churches in our area with a licensed counselor in the building. Imagine what would happen if we could expand that ministry and provide dedicated space for those from the community to feel safe to meet with someone! In John 4, Jesus met a Samaritan woman at the well and it changed her life. We believe we have to find the wells in our community and the need for counseling is definitely one of those meeting places.

  • The Legacy Campaign will launch in the Spring of 2024. As a church we will have the opportunity to prayerfully consider our participation. Based on the church participation in the Spring of 2024 our leadership will consider a sound business plan moving forward as good stewards of God’s blessing.

  • That’s between you and God. This is a God-sized vision. We believe our church is poised to make a huge impact on our community. Not everyone can give the same amount. We won’t tell you what to give but we would love to encourage you to participate at whatever gift level that works for you. We will ask that you pray and consider that thoughtfully as we go on this journey together with God.
